Bridge School of Excellence Ltd - GDPR Policy & Privacy Notice Policy brief and purpose Our data protection policy refers to our commitment to treat information about employees and customers with the utmost care and confidentiality. This policy helps us to ensure that we gather, store and handle data fairly, transparently and with respect towards individual rights. The policy refers to all parties who provide personal information to us. Student Data We use an admission form to enrol our students. The form asks for limited and essential information such as name of parent, student, e-mail address and any medical information that we may need to be aware of. This is to ensure that we have all the relevant information needed for emergency contact(s), school year and any child protection information that parents/carers may wish to share with us. This is to the benefit of keeping our students safe. This information is stored in a safe cabinet. Procedures that we follow We will ensure that the data on file is accurate and up-to-date, collected fairly and openly and used by Bridge School for lawful purposes only. We will ensure that it is protected against any unauthorised or illegal access. Bridge School will not share or transfer the information formally or informally with any other party unless required by law. We will not store data once the student has left our school and is beyond the school age. Further, it is obligatory for Bridge School to ensure that people are aware which of their data is collected, how it is processed and who has access to it. The school will ensure that provisions are in cases of lost or compromised data. Bridge School will allow people to request that we modify, erase, reduce or correct data contained in our files. In addition, Bridge School trains its employees in privacy and security measures. A breach of data protection guidelines will invoke disciplinary and possibly legal action. We will not share your information with any third party unless required to do so by law. Data Security The information you provide is only available to authorised personnel of Bridge School and is stored securely. If we no longer require your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it in a secure manner subject to any legal obligations we have to keep information for a specified period of time.
